In the city of Marseille, the pizza delivery man Daniel quits his job and becomes a taxi driver, while the clumsy police detective Emilien struggles to pass his driving test and works hard as a police officer. Meanwhile, a gang of German robbers provoke the French National Police Agency by stealing a Mercedes-Benz. In a mistake, Emilien engages in a friendly fire with the police chief during a chase with the robbers. Later, Emilien proposes to chase the robbers with a tracking device attached to their car. However, the robbers escape by hiding their money and painting their car in a trailer, and Emilien promises to cooperate with Daniel's taxi for investigation if they cannot catch the robbers within a week. Later, Daniel obtains information about the red paint bought in bulk by people at a car racing track, and provokes the robbers while Emilien steals and duplicates a traffic light key. Finally, on the day the robbers plan to rob the S.D.L.M bank, the police and Daniel chase the robbers, and Emilien and Daniel provoke the robbers again during the chase. Daniel gets involved in a confrontation with the robbers' old car, Tashu, and they end up racing through the city together.
