김광석 선생님은 대한민국의 창작가이시며, 1964년 1월 22일 대구시 대봉동 방천시장 번개전업사에서 태어나셨습니다. 어릴 때부터 현악부에서 다양한 악기를 배우시며 음악적 감성을 키우셨습니다. 명지대학교 경영학과에 입학하여 대학연합 동아리에 가입하시면서 민중가요를 부르며 공연활동을 시작하셨습니다. 1989년 솔로 데뷔하여 네 번의 정규 앨범과 리메이크 앨범을 발표하셨으며, 학전 등 소극장을 중심으로 꾸준히 공연을 하시며 많은 팬을 모으셨습니다.

또한, 1992년 6월 13일 충남 예산에서 열린 책마당 운영을 위한 기금 마련 행사에서 '마른 잎 다시 살아나'를 부르시면서 바이올린을 찾아들어 열정적으로 연주하신 모습은 많은 관객들의 귀를 사로잡으며 인상 깊은 무대였습니다. 김광석 선생님은 국민적인 가수이셨으며, 그의 음악과 가사는 수많은 이들에게 위로와 용기를 주었습니다.

1995년 8월 11일, 선생님은 소극장에서 1000회 공연의 기록을 세우셨습니다. 이후에도 꾸준한 공연을 하시며 많은 팬들을 사로잡으셨습니다.

선생님은 1996년 1월 5일 HBS '겨울나기' 프로그램에 게스트 출연하여 마지막 공연 방송을 하셨습니다. 그 날, '너무 아픈 사랑은 사랑이 아니었음을'과 '그녀가 처음 울던 날'을 부르셨습니다. 하지만, 이후 선생님은 1월 6일에 갑작스러운 사망으로 세상을 떠나셨습니다. 이에 대한 사인 관련 논란은 아직도 계속되고 있습니다.

선생님의 공헌에 대한 인정은 여전히 계속되고 있습니다. 2007년에는 〈서른 즈음에〉 노래가 최상의 가사로 음악 평론가들에게 선정되었습니다.

또한, 그는 태어난 대구 중구 대봉동 신천 둑방길에 기념하는 김광석다시그리기길이 조성되어 350미터의 길에 그의 삶과 노래를 주제로 한 다양한 벽화와 작품들이 있어서 많은 사람들이 찾는 명소가 되었습니다. 2014년 제5회 대한민국 대중문화예술상에서 대통령표창장을 받으셨습니다. 또한, 그는 대한민국의 영원한 명예 시민으로 남아 있습니다. 김광석은 1996년 1월 6일에 사망하셨지만, 그의 노래는 여전히 많은 이들의 사랑을 받고 있습니다. 김광석의 삶과 노래는 대한민국 대중음악의 역사를 새롭게 쓰게 된 빛나는 인물 중 하나입니다.

Kim Kwang-seok was a Korean songwriter and singer, born on January 22, 1964 in Bangcheon Market, Daebong-dong, Daegu, South Korea. From a young age, he learned various musical instruments in the string section and developed a musical sensibility. He entered the business school at Myongji University and joined a college union club, where he began singing folk songs and performing in concerts. In 1989, he debuted as a solo artist and released four regular albums and a remake album, gaining many fans by performing regularly in small theaters and venues.

In addition, his passionate performance of "The Dry Leaves Are Alive Again" on the violin at a fundraising event for a book fair in Yesan, South Chungcheong Province on June 13, 1992 captivated many audiences. Kim Kwang-seok was a beloved singer and songwriter in Korea, and his music and lyrics gave comfort and courage to countless people.

On August 11, 1995, the teacher set a record of 1000 performances in a small theater and continued to captivate many fans with steady performances. In January 5, 1996, the teacher made a guest appearance on the HBS 'Winter Guest' program and performed the last broadcast of the show, singing "Love Too Painful Was Not Love" and "The Day She First Cried". However, the teacher passed away suddenly on January 6, sparking ongoing controversy over the cause of death.

Recognition for the teacher's contributions continues to this day. In 2007, the song "Around Thirty" was selected as the best lyrics by music critics. In January 6, 2008, a memorial concert was held at the Hakjeon Blue Theater in Daehangno to commemorate the 12th anniversary of the teacher's passing.

In addition, a Kim Gwang-seok memorial street has been created on the Shincheon embankment road in Daebong-dong, Jung-gu, Daegu, featuring various murals and artworks on his life and music, becoming a popular attraction for many people. The teacher received a presidential commendation at the 5th Korea Pop Culture and Arts Awards in 2014 and remains a perpetual honorary citizen of South Korea. Although Kim Gwang-seok passed away on January 6, 1996, his songs still receive much love from many people. His famous quotes such as "Thank you," "Be happy," and "Goodbye, you will be alright" continue to provide comfort and courage to many. Kim Gwang-seok is one of the shining figures who have rewritten the history of Korean popular music through his life and music.

 

Kim Kwang-seok's fourth studio album, "4th Round," is widely regarded as the highest-rated album and true successor of Korean modern folk. It captures the essence of Kim Kwang-seok's folk music with deeper folk textures. The album includes widely known songs such as "Around Thirty," "Wake Up," "Where the Wind Blows," and "A Painful Love Was Not Love."
