2014년에는 소속사 사장이 아이묭을 unBORDE 레이블의 대표 스즈키 료마에게 소개하였습니다. 그는 아이묭의 잠재력을 알아보고 그녀의 팬이 되었습니다. 하지만 메이저 데뷔를 서둘러 이뤄내는 대신, 오래도록 사랑 받는 아티스트로 성장시키기를 원하였습니다. 따라서 작사, 작곡, 무대 매너, 보컬 등 다양한 트레이닝을 거쳐 첫 싱글은 인디 레이블에서 테스트 마케팅을 통해 발매하게 되었습니다.

아이묭이라는 예명은 중학교 3학년 때 친구가 붙인 별명입니다. 이 별명을 중학교 3학년 때 친구가 케이팝 가수들 이름을 인용해서 붙인 별명으로 지금도 사용하고 있습니다.
