From September 4, 2008, to September 8, 2009, Jay Park was a member and leader of the group 2PM. After leaving 2PM on September 8, 2009, he pursued activities in the United States through platforms like YouTube and other online communities. In July 2010, he signed an exclusive contract with Sidus HQ, marking his official return to domestic activities in South Korea. On the same day, July 13, he released his first solo album in Korea, "Trust Me," followed by his first mini-album, "Take A Deeper Look," on April 27, 2011. Additionally, on February 10, 2012, Jay Park released his first full-length album, "New Breed."

In 2013, he founded the hip-hop label AOMG, where he currently serves as co-CEO alongside Kim Young-ju.
