뉴진스(NewJeans)는 2022년 7월 22일에 데뷔한 한국의 5인조 걸 그룹으로, 소속사는 HYBE 소속의 레이블인 ADOR이다. SM 엔터테인먼트의 이사 출신인 민희진이 HYBE에 합류하여 프로듀서로서 참여한 걸 그룹이다. 2022년 8월 18일에는 《엠카운트다운》에서 데뷔 3주 만에 첫 번째 1위를 차지하였다.
타이틀곡 중 가장 먼저 공개된 '주목해(Attention)'는 데뷔 후 미국의 차트 쇼에서 1위를 기록하였습니다.
음원이 공개된 후, '주목해(Attention)'은 멜론 TOP 100에서 20위까지 올라가며, 2020년 이후 역대 데뷔곡 중 최고 순위를 기록하였습니다.

2022년 8월 9일 23시에는 '주목해(Attention)'이 멜론 TOP 100에서 1위를 차지하여, 멜론 차트 개편 이후 최초로 데뷔곡으로 1위를 달성하였습니다. 이는 예능 방송 음원이 아닌 아이돌 곡으로서는 2017년 워너원의 '에너제틱' 이후 5년 만에, 걸그룹으로는 2016년 블랙핑크의 '휘파람' 이후 6년 만에 이루어진 대기록입니다.

I didn't follow the familiar formula of formalized K-POP, and I was based on POP, but I wasn't tied to a particular style. It aims for a sophisticated easy listening pop that can be enjoyed comfortably anywhere, and has revived the voices of New Jeans members with natural sound engineering. The four songs on the album contain the pure and natural charm of the New Jeans members, who are all teenagers, and the energy unique to teenagers.
When I first heard it, it seems to be about love stories of my age with New Jeans, but each track has a different story based on various musical attempts, and these stories naturally encompass the lifestyle of teenagers. It also goes beyond a personal story and depicts a story called "we." The introduction of the three title songs is a choice to fully convey the message New Jeans wants to convey.
New Jeans puts honesty and naturalness first.
Like "Jean," which has been loved by men and women of all ages regardless of the trend, whether it is at the center of the trend.
As a new icon of this era, I hope you become a "New Jeans" that you won't get tired of wearing every day!

"Attention," the first song to be released among the title songs, topped the U.S. chart show after its debut.

After the release of the song, "Attention" rose to 20th place in the Melon TOP 100, marking the highest ranking among all-time debut songs since 2020.

At 23:00 on August 9, 2022, "Attention" topped the Melon TOP 100, achieving first place with its debut song for the first time since the Melon Chart was reorganized. This is a milestone that was made five years after Wanna One's "Energetic" in 2017 and six years after BLACKPINK's "Whistle" in 2016 as a girl group, not an entertainment show source.
