또한, 옥슨80의 멤버들은 드라마 "마지막 승부"의 주제가를 부른 김민교와 "사랑과 평화"의 이승수 등으로도 알려져 있습니다.

옥슨 79

1979년, 홍서범을 중심으로 건국대학교를 상징하는 황소(Ox)를 그룹 이름으로 6인조 밴드 '옥슨79'를 결성하였습니다. 이 그룹은 1979년 에서 "상상"으로 입상하고, 에서 "등대"로 입상하였습니다. 멤버로는 박기명(보컬), 홍사민(건반), 전익순(드럼), 홍서범, 이희영(기타), 원덕재(베이스)가 있습니다.

옥슨79은 활동을 통해 주목을 받았으며, 이후 홍서범이 옥슨80에 참여하면서 그룹의 역사가 이어지게 되었습니다.

OXEN 80

OXEN 80 is a proud campus band from Konkuk University in South Korea. The group was formed in 1980 with leader Hong Seobum at the forefront. They made their debut by winning the gold prize at the 3rd TBC Youth Song Festival with their song "Bulnoriya."

The initial lineup of the group consisted of Hong Seobum (vocals, guitar), Jo Yeonhwan (guitar), Choi Gwangsoo (bass), Jeon Jongmin (keyboard), and Hwang Ho (drums), making it a six-member band. However, the lineup later changed to include Hong Seobum, Kim Jeonguk, Lee Taeseon, Yoon Jungseo, and Ahn Kijeong.

OXEN 80 garnered immediate attention with their hit single "Bulnoriya" and continued to make waves in the Korean music scene with songs like "Gananhane Yeoindeuleui Gido" (Prayer of Poor Women) and many more. They won various awards at domestic music festivals, solidifying their position as a leading campus band in South Korea. Some of their notable awards include "Nalgae" (Wings) in 1981, "Yutnori" (Korean board game) in 1982, "Mulle Ta Neun Yeoin" (Woman Spinning a Millstone) in 1984, "Pungnyeon Gut" (Harvest Dance) in 1985, "Cheonggaeguri" (Green Frog) in 1989, and "Biui Chueok" (Memories of Rain) in 1991.

OXEN 80 holds the record for winning the most awards at music festivals throughout the 1980s and 1990s, and they have been representing Konkuk University as a prominent band for nearly 40 years.

Furthermore, members of OXEN 80, such as Kim Mingyo who sang the theme song for the drama "The Last Match" and Lee Seungsoo from "Love and Peace," have also made significant contributions to the Korean music industry.

OXEN 79

In 1979, led by Hong Seobum, a six-member band named "OXEN 79" was formed, symbolizing Konkuk University with the name "Ox." The group achieved recognition by winning the "Sangsang" award at the National Group Sound Competition in 1979 and the "Deungdae" award at the TBC Youth Song Festival. The members of OXEN 79 were Park Gimyeong (vocals), Hong Samin (keyboard), Jeon Iksun (drums), Hong Seobum, Lee Huiyeong (guitar), and Won Deokjae (bass).

OXEN 79 gained attention through their activities, and their legacy continued as Hong Seobum joined OXEN 80, marking the next chapter of the group's history.

OXEN has made significant contributions to the South Korean music scene, spanning different generations such as OXEN 79 and OXEN 80, and their music continues to be cherished and loved over many years.
