2002년에 발매된 5집 앨범 《A New Morning》은 판매량에서 기대에 못 미치며 이후 스웨이드는 해체하게 됩니다.

Suede was an English Britpop band formed in London in 1989, beginning with an early lineup of Brett Anderson (lead vocals), Bernard Butler (guitarist), Matt Osman (basist), and Simon Gilbert (drummer).

In 1992, Suede received a lot of attention from the British music industry, calling it "the newest band in the UK." The following year, in 1993, Glam Rock-influenced debut album "Suede" was released, topping the UK charts, setting a record for fastest-selling debut albums. This further cemented Suede's position as a Britpop band by winning the Mercury Prize.

However, Suede's second album, "Dog Man Star," released in 1994, showed a different look from the Britpop scene. The album is considered Suede's signature work, but there were considerable difficulties in the recording process, and Bernard Butler eventually withdrew from the band before the album was released due to a feud with Brett Anderson.

However, in 1996, with the addition of guitarist Richard Oakes and keyboardist Neil Codling, Suede released his third album, "Coming Up", which became a huge commercial success. The album reached the top of the UK charts, producing five top ten singles, the highest sales of suede's album.

Afterwards, he suffered from several internal problems within the band, including Bret Anderson's heroin and cocaine addiction, but in 1999 he released his fourth album, "Head Music", which reached number one on the UK charts again.

The fifth album, "A New Morning," released in 2002, fell short of expectations in terms of sales, and Suede subsequently disbanded.

However, in 2010, after a flurry of rumours, suede reunited, and the following year a remastered version of the full - length albums was re - released. On March 18, 2013, three years after their reunion, Suede made a successful comeback with her sixth album, "Bloodsports".
