Rachel Yamagata (born September 23, 1977) is an American singer-songwriter and piano player. She is active in alternative, indie, and blues rock genres, and began her musical career in 2001. As a versatile artist who plays piano, guitar and vocals, he has signed with RCA Records and the Warner Bros. label, and runs his personal website, rachaelyamagata.com .

Yamagata was born in Arlington, Virginia, his father is a third-generation Japanese American and his mother is of mixed German-Italian descent. She has released three full - length albums and four EPs since 2001. "Happenstance" released in 2004 and "Elephants" released in 2008...Teeth Thinking Into Heart, and "Chesapeake" released in 2011. EPs also include "EP" in 2003, "Live at the Soft & More" in 2005, "Lose Ends" in 2008, and "Covers EP" in 2011.

Yamagata is one of the most popular artists in Korea, and she is known for her sweet voice. In particular, it became more famous in 2006 because of "Be Be Your Love," which was used as the background music for LG's chocolate phone commercial. In 2018, Yamagata's songs were used as the OST for the JTBC drama "Pretty Sister Who Buys Me Food." In 2019, he also participated in MC Sniper's minus 1st album (subtitle: 40), and also participated in the OST of MBC's Wednesday-Thursday drama "Spring Night."
