Ex는 이상미(리드보컬), 방지연(베이스), 공영준(드럼)으로 구성된 혼성 밴드로, 2005년에 대학가요제 출신으로 데뷔했습니다. 그 해, MBC 대학가요제에서 "잘 부탁드립니다"라는 노래로 대상을 수상했습니다. 당시 리드보컬 이상미의 사진들이 자신의 미니홈피에 올려져 화제가 되었고, Ex는 많은 프로그램에 출연하게 되었습니다. 그러나 이에 대해 항간에서는 당시 시청률 부진으로 인해 MBC가 시청률을 올리기 위해 신인 밴드를 이용한다는 비판이 있었습니다.

이후, Ex는 정식 가수 데뷔를 위해 군 문제로 인해 박동휘와 박광래를 제외한 3인조 밴드로 재편되었습니다. 2007년 9월 12일에는 정규 음반인 "Tell The Story"를 발매했으며, 2009년에는 Ex는 공식적으로 해체되었습니다.

멤버 구성은 대학가요제 출전 당시 이상미(리드보컬), 방지연(베이스), 공영준(드럼), 박광래(기타), 박동휘(키보드)로 이루어졌습니다. 그리고 2007년에는 이상미(리드보컬), 방지연(베이스), 공영준(드럼)으로 구성되었습니다.

가사 내용은 당시 취업 준비생의 아픔과 도전을 노래 했다는데 옛날도 힘들고 지금도 취준생은 항상 힘들다.

Ex, a mixed-gender band consisting of lead vocalist Lee Sang-mi, bassist Bang Ji-yeon, and drummer Gong Young-jun, made their debut as participants of a university music festival in 2005. That same year, they won the grand prize at the MBC University Music Festival with their song "Please Take Care of Us." The photos of lead vocalist Lee Sang-mi, uploaded on her personal homepage, gained attention, leading Ex to appear on numerous programs. However, there were criticisms that MBC was using the rookie band to compensate for low ratings.

Subsequently, Ex reorganized as a three-member band, excluding Park Dong-hwi and Park Kwang-rae, due to military service issues, in preparation for their official debut as singers. On September 12, 2007, they released their first full-length album titled "Tell The Story." In 2009, Ex officially disbanded.

The lineup during their participation in the university music festival consisted of Lee Sang-mi (lead vocalist), Bang Ji-yeon (bass), Gong Young-jun (drums), Park Kwang-rae (guitar), and Park Dong-hwi (keyboard).
