Kim Soo-hee (金秀姬) is a South Korean singer, born on April 26, 1953 (Lunar calendar: March 13), in Busan, South Gyeongsang Province. As an artist, she has been active in various music genres such as Korean trot, pop, K-pop, and has garnered love and admiration from many people.

From a young age, Kim Soo-hee displayed literary talent, winning the top prize in a nationwide children's writing competition with her poem "Daddy's Starland." Even during her middle school years at Busan Dongshin Elementary School, she had already achieved recognition.

After moving to Seoul during her middle school years, Kim Soo-hee continued to nurture her dream of becoming a literary writer. However, she faced financial hardships, having to support herself from a young age due to her father's absence. She dropped out of Sookmyung Girls' High School but made her debut as a singer at the age of 18 in 1970 on the MI8 stage.

In her early career, Kim Soo-hee was part of the female band Black Cats, which performed on the MI8 stage. However, she struggled to gain recognition after releasing her first album, "너무합니다(윤향기곡)," "남포동 부르스," "알뜰한 당신," and "정거장," which included self-composed songs.
