2005년, 나인(보컬)과 용린(기타)이 모던 록 밴드인 디어 클라우드를 결성하게 되었습니다. 서울예술대학의 선후배인 정아(건반), 토근(드럼), 이랑(베이스)이 참여하여, 밴드가 완성되었다. 토이 뮤직에서 2007년 1집 정규 앨범을 발표한 뒤, 2010년 EP앨범인 《Take The Air》를 발표하면서 클라우드 레코드를 설립하였습니다. 이후, 디어 클라우드는 독립하여 레이블에서 자유롭게 활동하며 새로운 음악적 시도를 해왔습니다.

2013년부터는 4인 체제로 재편되었으나, 정아(건반)가 클래식을 전공하기 위해 유학을 떠나면서 2019년 5월부터는 3인으로 재편되었습니다. 지금은 클라우드 레코드와 엠와이뮤직 공동 소속으로 인디와 오버의 어느 한 지점에서 각종 공연과 페스티벌에 참여하며 활발히 활동 중입니다.
디어 클라우드의 음반 작업은 꾸준히 이루어졌으며, 정규앨범으로는 2007년 1집 《Dear Cloud》, 2008년 2집 《Grey》, 2011년 3집 《Bright Lights》, 2017년 4집 《MY DEAR, MY LOVER》이 있습니다. 비정규/참여 앨범에도 다수 참여하였습니다.

디어 클라우드는 유희열, 루시드 폴, 이적 등 다수의 아티스트들로부터 지지를 받으며, 각종 오디션 프로그램에서 부른 곡들이 많은 인기를 끌고 있습니다. 디어 클라우드는 자신들만의 독특한 음악적 색채와 개성으로 국내 록씬에서 강한 인상을 남기고 있습니다.

 

Dear Cloud is a modern rock band from South Korea, formed in 2005 through the meeting of Yongrin (guitar) and Nine (vocals). Later, they were joined by their senior-junior relationship in Seoul Arts College, Ilang (bass), Jeonga (keyboard), and Tokun (drums) to complete the 5-member mixed-gender band. Dear Cloud broke away from Toy Music (now Antenna Music) after dropping their debut album in 2007 and decided to form their own label, Cloud Records, which paved the way for the release of their EP "Take The Air" in 2010. From then on, the band has been blazing their own trail by constantly venturing into uncharted musical territory, driven by a burning passion to create something truly original.

They reorganized into a 4-member group in 2013, but Jeonga left for classical music studies abroad, and the band returned to a 3-member lineup in May 2019. They are now jointly affiliated with Cloud Records and MYmusic, performing at various concerts and festivals in the indie and crossover scenes.

Dear Cloud has consistently released music, including four full-length albums: "Dear Cloud" (2007), "Grey" (2008), "Bright Lights" (2011), and "MY DEAR, MY LOVER" (2017). They have also participated in many non-regular and collaborative albums.

Dear Cloud is supported by many artists such as Yoo Hee-yeol, Lucid Fall, and Lee Juck, and their songs have gained immense popularity in various audition programs. With their unique musical style and personality, Dear Cloud has left a strong impression in the South Korean rock scene.

이 노래는 한 사람의 겨울 이야기를 담고 있습니다. 이 사람은 얼음요새를 향해 걸어갑니다. 그리고 겨울 가운데서 그 사람은 아름다운 사람을 만나게 됩니다. 그러나 이 사람과의 사랑은 잔인합니다. 그 사람은 자신에게 영원한 사랑은 없을 거라고 말합니다. 그리고 그 사람은 그를 밀어내고, 차가운 말로 그의 맘을 얼어붙게 합니다. 그래도 그 사람은 여전히 아름다워 보입니다. 그리고 그 사람의 영혼은 멈추지 않는 추위 속에서도 빛을 잃지 않고 꼭 닮아있다는 것을 깨닫게 됩니다.



This song tells the story of one person's winter. The person walks towards the ice castle, with their frozen ears wrapped up. They stumble on the blurry path, hoping to find warmth in someone's embrace. In the middle of winter, they meet a beautiful person. However, their love is cruel. The person tells them that they will never have eternal love, and pushes them away with cold words that freeze their heart. Despite this, the person still looks beautiful, and the singer realizes that their soul is just like the winter that never stops but doesn't lose its light.
