알레프(본명: 이정재, 1993년생)는 한국의 R&B와 신스팝 싱어송라이터입니다.

 

2017년 싱글 "Fall in Love Again"으로 데뷔하였으며, 그 이후로도 다양한 음악적 스펙트럼을 보여주면서 유니크한 감각과 대중적인 감성을 바탕으로 한 가지 색깔에 한정되지 않는 음악을 선보이고 있습니다.

 

알레프는 현재 젊은 세대들의 생각과 속마음을 담담하게 표현하는 목소리로 노래하는 기대주 싱어송라이터입니다. 

그의 아티스트 이름 'ALEPH'는 히브리어로 '첫번째' 또는 '1'을 뜻합니다.

 

알레프는 이전에 김한솔과 함께 듀오 그룹을 이루고 있었으나, 김한솔이 이탈하였습니다.

안녕하세요 ALEPH(알레프)입니다. <1>은 처음인 만큼 많은 시행착오와 조율을 거쳐 만들어진 앨범입니다.

 

앨범 제목과 같이 처음 시작하는 것이 가진 가능성과 불확실함, 설렘과 기대를 담고 있습니다.
이번 앨범에서는 무엇 하나 명확하지 않은, 안개 같은 일상을 살아가는 현대인들이 평소 마주 보지 않는 감정들을 풀어내고 싶었습니다. 수록 곡들은 전반적으로 삶의 의미적 통찰과, 일상에서 오는 질문들, 사랑과 이외의 감정들이 만드는 심리적 이슈를 전달하고 있습니다. 특히 타이틀곡인 'No One Told Me Why'에서는 개인주의적 삶을 영위하면서 찾아오는 괴리감, 소외와 방관, 그리고 일종의 희망을 노래합니다. 사랑받길 원하면서도 일정 이상의 관심은 꺼리는 현대인들의 이중적 모습에서 나타나는 갈등을 포착하고 싶었습니다. 자칫하면 염세적으로 들릴만한 내용이지만 아름다운 선율과 조화를 이루어 감정의 지나친 누출을 막은 절제된 곡입니다.

 

인디 포크록 밴드 알레프(ALEPH)의 첫 EP앨범 ‘1’은 처음 시작하는 것이 가진 가능성과 불확실함, 설렘 그리고 기대를 담았다. 타이틀곡 No One Told Me Why는 아슬아슬한 감성과 대조되는 아름다운 선율이 조화를 이루는 곡이다. 특히 사랑받길 원하면서도 일정 이상의 관심을 꺼리는 현대인들의 이중적인 감정을 노랫말에 담았다.

Hello, I am ALEPH. Our first EP album <1> is the culmination of many trials and adjustments.

The title of the album captures the potential, uncertainty, excitement, and anticipation that comes with embarking on something new. In this album, we wanted to explore the ambiguous and foggy aspects of daily life that modern people often ignore. The songs deal with existential insights, questions that arise from everyday life, and psychological issues created by love and other emotions. In particular, the title track "No One Told Me Why" sings about the alienation, estrangement, and apathy that come with pursuing an individualistic life, and a kind of hope that arises from it. We wanted to capture the conflict that arises from the double-sided nature of modern people who crave love but reject too much attention. It is a restrained song that blends beautiful melodies and harmony, preventing excessive emotional expression that could be perceived as melodramatic.

Our indie folk-rock band ALEPH's first EP album '1' embodies the potential, uncertainty, excitement, and anticipation that come with starting something new. The title track "No One Told Me Why" is a unique and beautiful combination of risky emotions and melodies. In particular, we expressed the dual emotions of modern people who crave love but reject too much attention in the lyrics.

 

ALEPH is the indie folk-rock band. The title song of ALEPH's new EP album '1', 'No One Told Me Why' is about the complex emotions of people today - want to be loved and be away at the same time.
