가수 유주용은 대한민국의 전설적인 가수 겸 영화배우로, 그의 본관은 강릉입니다. 1939년 12월 28일에 강릉에서 태어나, 일제강점기 시대를 지나며 대한민국의 역사를 함께 겪었습니다.

유주용은 경기고등학교를 졸업하고, 화학을 전공하여 서울대학교에서 학사 학위를 받았습니다. 이후에는 연세대학교 대학원에서 생화학 석사 학위를 취득하였습니다. 어려운 시기임에도 불구하고 대학원까지 마치며, 그의 끈기와 노력을 엿볼 수 있습니다.

1963년에는 주한 미8군 무대에서 솔로 가수로 데뷔하였고, 이후 1965년에는 남성 4인조 프로젝트 보컬 음악 그룹 '포 클로버스'의 보컬리스트로 활동하며 팀으로도 가수 활동을 했습니다. 그 해에는 영화 '불량소녀 장미'에 조연으로 출연하여 배우로서도 뛰어난 능력을 보였습니다.

1968년에는 가수 겸 뮤지컬 배우인 윤복희와 결혼하였으나, 얼마 지나지 않아 이혼하게 되었습니다. 이후 재혼을 했으며 미국으로 이민을 가게 되어 별다른 연예계 활동은 하지 않았습니다.

대표곡으로는 김소월의 시에 멜로디를 붙인 '부모'가 있습니다. 이 노래는 그의 음악적 재능을 입증하는 작품으로 꼽히며 많은 사람들에게 감동을 전해왔습니다.

Singer Yu Ju-yong is a legendary South Korean singer and movie star, whose main building is Gangneung. Born in Gangneung on December 28, 1939, he experienced the history of Korea throughout the Japanese colonial era period.

Yu Ju-yong graduated from Kyunggi High School, majored in chemistry, and received a bachelor's degree from Seoul National University. After that, I got a master's degree in biochemistry from Yonsei University graduate school. Even though it's a difficult time, you can get a glimpse of his perseverance and effort as he finishes graduate school.

In 1963, he made his debut as a solo artist on the 8th Army stage in Korea, and in 1965, he was a vocalist for the male four-member project vocal music group "Four Clovers" and also a singer as a team. In that year, she appeared as a supporting actor in the movie 'Rose of Bad Girl' and showed outstanding ability as an actor.

In 1968, she married Yoon Bok-hee, a singer and musical actor, but soon divorced. After that, he remarried and immigrated to the United States, so he did not do much in the entertainment activities.

The representative song is "Parents" with a melody to Kim So-wol's poem. This song is considered a work that proves his musical talent and has impressed many people.

Yu is a person who shows outstanding talent in two fields: learning and art. His achievements greatly influenced the music and theater culture of Korea. Now he is 83 years old, but his artistic passion continues to this day.
