유미씨는 대한민국의 가수로서, 1977년 12월 13일에 충청북도 청주시에서 태어나셨습니다. 2000년 첫 데뷔 앨범 '가라'를 발표하신 후, 소속사를 옮기셔서 2002년 정규 앨범 '사랑은 언제나 목마르다'의 타이틀곡으로 정식 데뷔하셨습니다. 그 당시 앨범 발매와 함께 공개된 뮤직 비디오에는 정우성씨와 전지현씨가 출연하셨으며, 음료수 CF의 배경음악으로도 쓰이면서 큰 화제를 모으셨습니다.

2004년에는 '내 여자친구를 소개합니다' OST앨범 안에 포함된 두 번째 싱글을 발표하셨으며, 2005년 두 번째 정규 앨범 '추억이 시간이 지운다'의 타이틀곡으로 활동하셨습니다. 2006년에는 김아중씨와 주진모씨 주연의 영화 '미녀는 괴로워'의 OST에 참여하셨는데, 이 영화의 마지막 곡 '별'을 통해서 참여하셨습니다.

2008년에는 정규 앨범 '여자라서 하지 못한 말'의 타이틀곡으로 방송 활동을 하셨고, 2012년에는 '불후의 명곡: 전설을 노래하다' 엄정화씨 편에서 선보인 '배반의 장미'를 통해 많은 화제를 모으셨습니다. 그리고 2013년에는 '눈물나는 얘기(나인)', 'Last One(주군의 태양)' 그리고 10월에는 '싸구려 반지'라는 디지털 싱글을 발표하셨습니다.

 

 

이 노래는 끝나버린 사랑의 아픔과 후회를 담고 있습니다. 그러나 그 아픔과 후회를 극복하고 다시 사랑으로 돌아가려는 마음을 표현하고 있습니다. 노래 가사 속에는 당신을 사랑하지만 이젠 떠나야 한다는 결정과 그에 대한 죄책감, 또한 이전에 참아온 아픔과 상처들이 담겨져 있습니다. 하지만 그 모든 것들을 이젠 버리고, 단 하나의 사랑으로 다시 시작하자는 강한 염원이 담겨져 있습니다. 이 노래는 우리에게 용기를 주며, 과거의 아픔과 상처들을 떨쳐내고 새로운 시작을 꿈꾸게 만드는 메시지를 전달합니다.

This song expresses the pain and regret of a love that has ended, but also the desire to overcome that pain and return to love. The lyrics contain a decision to leave even though the singer still loves the person, as well as feelings of guilt for that decision and the pain and scars endured in the past. 유미 씨는 2002년 "가라"로 데뷔한 가수입니다. 같은 해에 소속사를 옮기고 정규 1집 앨범 [Sad]를 발매했습니다. 대중이 기억하는 시그니처 곡인 "사랑은 언제나 목마르다"는 이 앨범의 첫 번째 트랙이자 타이틀 곡입니다. 김형석 작곡가와 원태연 시인이 가사를 맡아 신경 쓴 작품입니다. 인트로의 피아노와 스트링 선율만으로도 슬픈 감성을 자아냅니다. 이 곡의 뮤직비디오는 두 개의 형태로 제작되었습니다. 첫 번째는 추후에 개봉될 영화의 예고편으로, 두 번째는 한 편의 영화와도 같은 영상으로 정우성, 전지현 주연으로 화제를 모았습니다. 이 곡은 광고 음악으로도 많이 사용되며 강한 인상을 남겼습니다.
