김광석은 대한민국의 싱어송라이터로 1964년 1월 22일 대구에서 태어났습니다. 5살 때 서울특별시 동대문구 창신동으로 이사해 서울창신초등학교, 경희중학교, 대광고등학교를 졸업하였습니다. 중학교 시절 현악부와 합창부에서 음악 활동을 하면서 음악적 감성을 키웠습니다. 1982년에는 명지대학교 경영학과에 입학하여 대학 연합 동아리에서 민중가요를 부르며 공연 활동을 시작했습니다. 1985년 6개월 동안 군 복무를 마치고 대학에 복학한 후 다시 노래를 찾는 사람들에 합류하여 공연에 참여했습니다. 1989년 10월 솔로 데뷔를 하여 이후 1994년에 발표한 마지막 정규 음반까지 총 4장의 정규 음반과 리메이크 앨범 2집을 발표했습니다.

I moved to Changsin-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul when I was 5 years old and graduated from Seoul Changsin Elementary School, Kyunghee Middle School, and Daegwang High School. When I was in middle school, I developed my musical sensibility by doing music activities in the string and chorus. In 1982, he entered the business administration department of Myongji University and started performing in the university association club by singing popular songs. In 1985, after six months of military service, he returned to college and joined the song seekers again to participate in the performance. He made his solo debut in October 1989 and later released a total of four full - length albums and two remakes, including his last full - length album in 1994.
