이문세씨는 1959년 2월 24일(음력 1월 17일)에 태어나셨으며, 대한민국의 대중음악인으로서 많은 사랑을 받으시고 계십니다. 라디오 DJ로 데뷔하셨을 때부터 입담이 뛰어나셨으며, 1980년대에는 통기타 포크 팝 음악 분야에서 활약하셨습니다. 이후 1983년 발라드 가수로서의 정식 음악 활동을 시작하셨으며, 《나는 행복한 사람》과 《파랑새》 등의 곡으로 젊은 층들의 인기를 얻으셨습니다.

특히 작곡가 이영훈과 함께 준비한 곡인 `난 아직 모르잖아요`는 그해 방송 순위 1위를 차지하며 대중들의 사랑을 받았습니다. 이후 80년대의 가요계에 팝발라드 물결을 일으키는 활약을 보이셨고, 1987년에 발표한 4집 수록곡으로 높은 판매고를 올리시며 대중적으로 더욱 유명해지셨습니다.

《이문세 4집》은 1987년 3월 10일에 발매된 이문세 선생님의 네 번째 음반이며, 이번 앨범에서는 유재하 선생님과 이정선 선생님의 곡이 아닌, 이영훈 선생님이 작사, 작곡을 모두 맡아서 만들어졌습니다. 김광석 선생님과 함춘호 선생님의 기타 연주와 사랑과 평화에서 키보드를 맡았던 김명곤 선생님의 편곡이 함께 수록되어 있습니다.

이 앨범은 한국 팝 발라드의 출발점을 열어놓은 음반이라 할 수 있습니다. 해외의 팝 음악에서 영감을 받은 이 앨범은 국내 리스너들 뿐만 아니라 전 세계적으로 사랑받았습니다. 판매량은 참 대단한 수준이었는데, 매체마다 조금씩 차이가 있겠지만 대략 280만 장 이상을 판매하였습니다. 이 음반의 공으로 이문세 선생님은 1987년 골든 디스크 시상식에서 음반 대상을 수상하였고, 1988년에는 MBC 10대 가수로 선정되기도 하였습니다. 그만큼 대중성과 음악성이 조화를 이룬 걸작이라고 할 수 있습니다.

이 노래는 이별의 아픔과 서로를 잡을 수 없는 상황에 대한 노래이다. 서로 떠나야 할 때에도 서로의 마음을 이해하며 눈물을 참으라는 메시지가 전해진다. 마지막 찻잔에 서로의 향기를 남기고 파는 것은 이별을 인정하면서도 추억으로 남긴다는 뜻이다. 하지만 그대의 모습이 여전히 마음을 아프게 하며, 그대의 입에서 나오지 않은 한마디 때문에 서러움과 아픔을 느낀다. 이제는 서로를 놓아주고 헤어져야 할 때가 온 것을 받아들여 이별을 인정하며 안녕을 전하는 이 노래는 이별의 아픔을 감성적인 면으로 표현하고 있다.

This song is about the pain of separation and the situation where they cannot hold onto each other. It delivers a message to understand each other's hearts and hold back tears when they have to part ways. Leaving each other's scent in the last cup of tea means acknowledging the breakup while keeping memories. However, the image of the other person still hurts the heart, and the sadness and pain are felt because of the one word that didn't come out of their mouth. Lee Mun-se was born on February 24, 1959 (January 17, the lunar calendar) and is loved by many as a Korean pop musician. He has been a good talker since his debut as a radio DJ, and in the 1980s he was active in acoustic guitar folk music. Later, he began his official music career as a ballad singer in 1983, and gained popularity among young people with songs such as "I Am a Happy Person" and "Bluebird".

Especially, "I don't know yet," a song that I prepared with composer Lee Young-hoon' was loved by the public, topping the broadcasting charts that year. Since then, he has been active in creating a wave of pop ballads in the music industry in the 80s, and has become more popular with high sales with his fourth album released in 1987.

He was also the host of "Starry Night," a popular radio program for young people, for many years, and was called the Minister of Education of the Night in the early 1990s. However, in 1993, he broke up with Lee Young-hoon and tried to create his own music world.

He is still active as a singer and musician, and he is active in other fields besides music activities. Lee Moon-se's music has been loved by the public for a long time, and will continue to be loved.

Lee Moon-se's 4th album is the fourth album by Lee Moon-se, released on March 10, 1987, and this album was made by Lee Young-hoon, who wrote and composed both songs, not songs by Yoo Jae-ha and Lee Jung-sun. It includes Kim Kwang-seok and Ham Chun-ho's guitar performance and Kim Myung-gon's arrangement of keyboards in Love and Peace.

This album is the starting point for Korean pop ballads. Inspired by overseas pop music, the album was loved not only by domestic listeners but also around the world. The sales were incredible, and although it varies slightly from medium to medium, it sold more than 2.8 million copies. For his contribution to the album, Lee Moon-se won the Album Grand Prize at the 1987 Golden Disc Awards and was selected as one of MBC's top 10 singers in 1988. It can be said to be a masterpiece that harmonizes popularity and musicality.

The album was a smashing success with most of its songs hitting the charts. In particular, "When Love Passes By" and "Only Her Laughter" are considered masterpieces that have raised the level of Korean pop music to the next level.
