본명은 고윤하로 1988년 4월 29일 서울에서 태어나셨습니다. 어릴 때부터 음악과 일본 TV에 관심을 가지셨고, 독학으로 일본어를 공부하셨다고 합니다. 가수의 꿈을 펼치기 위해 백운중학교 1학년 때인 2001년부터 대한민국의 유명 연예기획사를 찾아 20여 회의 오디션을 봤으며, 2003년 스탐 엔터테인먼트(지금의 라이온 미디어)의 오디션에서 합격하셨습니다. 처음에는 댄스 가수를 목표로 춤 연습을 하셨지만, 소속사에서 보냈던 일본 데모 테이프가 일본의 레인보우 엔터테인먼트에 전달되어 러브콜을 받게 되면서, 휘경여자고등학교 재학 중이던 시절 자퇴를 결심하고 일본으로 떠나셨습니다.

2004년 1월부터 일본 생활을 시작하신 고윤하씨는 약 6개월 동안 일본어를 공부한 뒤, 9월 1일에 싱글 앨범 '유비키리'로 가수 데뷔를 하셨습니다. 이후 10월 20일에는 일본어 버전도 발매되었는데, 이 곡은 후지TV의 드라마 '동경만경'의 OST로 사용되었습니다. 2005년 6월 1일에는 두 번째 싱글 'ほうき星(혜성)'를 발표하셨는데, 이 곡은 일본의 인기 애니메이션 '블리치'의 3기 엔딩곡으로 선정되어 오리콘 데일리 차트 12위, 주간 차트 15위를 기록하셨습니다. 이는 한국인 여성 아티스트가 주간 싱글 차트 첫 진입이면서 20위권 안에 든 것으로는 보아 이후 처음이었습니다.

2006년 7월 24일부터 28일까지 KBS 인간극장에서는 "소녀 윤하, 도쿄를 사로잡다"라는 에피소드를 방영했습니다. 이는 윤하의 한국 데뷔였습니다. 방영 내용에는 소니 뮤직 아니메 페스티벌 공연, "테오츠나이데" 뮤직 비디오 촬영 현장, 6월 9일의 미니 라이브 및 악수회 현장, 소속사 관계자 및 가족들의 인터뷰 등이 포함되어 있었습니다. 한국 팬들은 물론, 일본과 중국에서도 많은 팬들이 해당 내용을 보며 자신들의 언어로 응원 메시지를 전했습니다. 9월 18일에는 'Go! Younha' 앨범을 음원 스트리밍 사이트에 공개하였으며, 12월 4일에는 한국에서의 데뷔 앨범인 디지털 싱글 'Audition(Time2Rock)'을 발매했습니다. 이 앨범에는 윤하의 자작곡 '기다리다'가 포함되어 있었는데, 이 곡은 인기 시트콤 '거침없이 하이킥'의 배경음악으로 사용되어 라디오 방송에서 소녀시대의 태연이 부르면서 큰 사랑을 받았습니다.

2007년 3월에는 대한민국에서 첫 번째 정규 앨범인 《고백하기 좋은 날》을 발매하게 되었으며, 타이틀 곡 '비밀번호 486'으로 활동하였습니다. 이 곡은 SBS 인기가요에서 1위를 차지하는 등 각종 가요 차트에서 상위권을 유지하며 많은 사랑을 받았습니다. 그 후에는 후속곡 '연애조건'으로 활동하였습니다.

2021-현재: 6집 END THEORY, 리패키지 END THEORY : Final Edition
2021년 5월 23일 종로 세종문화회관에서 《2021 SOMEDAY THEATRE CANTABILE 3악장》을 샘김, 이무진, 이승윤, 정홍일과 합동공연했다.
2021년 11월 16일 6집 정규 앨범 《END THEORY》를 발매했다. 같은 해 12월 10일부터 12일까지 3일간 올림픽공원 올림픽홀에서 2019년 연말 공연 이후 717일만에 단독 콘서트 《END THEORY》로 개최했다.
2022년 3월 11일에서 13일까지 3일간 3월 30일에 발매될 리패키지 앨범에 맞춰 앙코르 콘서트를 개최했다.
같은 달 30일 6집 리패키지 앨범 《END THEORY : Final Edition》을 발매했다.
2022년 5월 30일 팬덤 6기와 팬미팅을 진행했다.

Yoonha is a singer who is active in Korea and Japan.
He is active under the name of Yoon Na in Japan and Yoon Ha in Korea.

His real name is Ko Yoon-ha, and he was born in Seoul on April 29, 1988. He has been interested in music and Japanese TV since he was young, and he studied Japanese by himself. To fulfill his dream of becoming a singer, he visited a famous entertainment agency in Korea since 2001 when he was in the first grade of Baegun Middle School, and passed the audition of Storm Entertainment (now Lion Media) in 2003. At first, he practiced dancing to become a dance singer, but when a Japanese demo tape sent by his agency was delivered to Rainbow Entertainment in Japan and received a love call, he decided to drop out when he was a student at Hwigyeong Girls' High School and left for Japan.

Ko Yoon-ha, who started living in Japan in January 2004, studied Japanese for about six months and made her debut as a singer with her single album "Yubikiri" on September 1. Later on October 20, a Japanese version was also released, which was used as the OST for Fuji TV's drama "The Great View of Tokyo." On June 1, 2005, he released his second single, "Hyesung", which was selected as the 3rd ending song of the popular Japanese animation "Blitch", ranking 12th on the Oricon Daily Chart and 15th on the weekly chart. From July 24 to 28, 2006, KBS Human Theater aired an episode called "Younha, a girl, captivates Tokyo." This was Younha's debut in Korea. The show included performances at the Sony Music Anime Festival, the set of the music video for "Theotsunade," the mini-live and handshake event on June 9, and interviews with agency officials and family members. Many fans in Japan and China, as well as Korean fans, saw the contents and sent messages of support in their language. On September 18, the album "Go! Younha" was released on music streaming sites, and on December 4, it released its digital single "Audition (Time2Rock)," which is its debut album in Korea. The album included Younha's self-composed song 'Waiting', which was used as the background music for the popular sitcom 'High Kick' and was greatly loved by Girls' Generation's Taeyeon on radio.

In March 2007, he released his first full-length album, "Good Day to Confess" in South Korea, and performed with the title track "Password 486". The song received a lot of love by maintaining the top spot on various music charts, including topping SBS's popular songs. After that, I worked as a follow-up song, "Love Condition".

2021-present: 6th album END THEORY, repackaged END THEORY: Final Edition
On May 23, 2021, Sam Kim, Lee Moo-jin, Lee Seung-yoon, and Jung Hong-il performed "2021 SOMEDAY THEATRE CANTABILE 3rd Movement" at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Jongno.
He released his sixth studio album "END THEORY" on November 16, 2021. It was held at Olympic Hall in Olympic Park for three days from December 10 to 12 of the same year as a solo concert "END THEORY" 717 days after the year-end performance in 2019.
An encore concert was held for three days from March 11 to 13, 2022, in time for the repackaged album to be released on March 30.
On the 30th of the same month, he released his sixth repackage album, "END THEORY: Final Edition".
On May 30, 2022, it held a fan meeting with the 6th fandom.

Until now (14 April 2023), unique has released its sixth album, END THEORY, and a repackaged version, END THEORY: FINAL EDITION.
