1991년 10월 2일에 대한민국 경상남도 울산시 중구에서 태어났으며, 현재 31세입니다. 그의 가족 본관은 경주 김씨(慶州 金氏)입니다. 신체적으로는 173cm의 키와 86kg의 몸무게를 가지며, 혈액형은 A형이며 신발 사이즈는 270mm입니다.

어린 시절에 축구선수로 꿈꾸었고, 중학교 시절에는 대통령 경호원이라는 다른 꿈을 갖고 있었습니다. 중학교 때 이종격투기 선수로 활약하여 부산에서 열린 전국대회에서 우승까지 차지한 경력이 있습니다. 그러나 음악에 대한 우연한 만남이 그의 삶을 완전히 바꾸었습니다. 음반 매장에서 김범수의 '보고 싶다' CD를 사러 갔다가 루치아노 파바로티의 '네순 도르마'에 매료되어 성악가의 길로 들어서게 되었습니다.

성악에 빠져든 김호중은 중학 3학년 때 울산 임마누엘 교회에서 성악 지도를 받았고, 경북예술고등학교에 음악과 성악 전공으로 전학하였습니다. 그러나 자금 부족으로 레슨을 제대로 받을 수 없는 상황에서 어려움을 겪었고, 조직 생활에 끌려들어가게 되었습니다.

그러나 친할머니의 유언과 김천예술고등학교의 서수용 선생님의 지도 아래에서 김호중은 성악에 매진하기로 마음먹었습니다. 조직 생활에서 손을 뗀 후에는 성악가로서의 꿈을 키워나가기 위해 노력하였습니다.

세종 음악콩쿠르에서 1위를 차지하고 전국 수리음악콩쿠르에서도 1위를 차지하는 등 빛나는 재능을 발휘하였습니다. 이후 SBS 예능 프로그램 '놀라운 대회 스타킹'에 '고등학생 파바로티'로 출연하여 화제가 되었고, 2009년에는 대한민국인재상을 수상하였습니다.

음악 능력을 인정받아 독일로 유학을 떠났고, 독일에서도 활발한 성악가로 활동하였습니다. 그는 울산에서 열리는 '울산시민대화합음악회' 등 다양한 무대에서 뛰어난 가창력을 선보였습니다.

그의 이야기는 영화 '파파로티'로도 화려하게 그려졌으며, 배우 이제훈이 그를 연기하였고, 한석규가 서수용 선생님 역할로 출연하여 큰 관심을 받았습니다.

고교 졸업 후 음악 활동을 계속하며, 2013년에 앨범을 발매했습니다. 그 후 2년 여의 유학 생활을 마치고 한국에서 활동하고자 귀국하였습니다. 그는 대중과 더 가까운 음악에 대한 고민을 하던 중 '내일은 미스트롯'을 접하게 되어 2019년에 '내일은 미스터트롯' 오디션에 지원하여 많은 사랑을 받게 되었습니다.

Kim Hojoong (김호중) is a South Korean musician, and his life story and experiences are filled with fascinating tales.

Kim Hojoong was born on October 2, 1991, in Jung-gu, Ulsan, South Korea, and he is currently 31 years old. His family's ancestral home is in Gyeongju, part of the Kim clan (慶州 金氏). He stands at 173cm in height, weighs 86kg, has blood type A, and wears a shoe size of 270mm.

During his early years, Kim Hojoong dreamt of becoming a soccer player, and during his middle school years, he aspired to be a presidential bodyguard. In middle school, he achieved success as a martial arts fighter, winning championships in national competitions held in Busan. However, a chance encounter with music completely transformed his life. While visiting a record store to buy Kim Bum-soo's "I Want to See" CD, he was captivated by the grandeur of Luciano Pavarotti's "Nessun Dorma" and decided to pursue a career in classical singing.

Immersing himself in vocal music, Kim Hojoong received vocal training at Immanuel Church in Ulsan during his third year of middle school. He later transferred to Gyeongbuk Arts High School, majoring in music and vocal studies. However, financial constraints made it difficult for him to afford regular lessons, and he briefly became involved in an organized group during this time.

Motivated by his grandmother's final wish and under the guidance of his mentor, Teacher Seo Soo-yong at Kimcheon Arts High School, Kim Hojoong decided to fully dedicate himself to vocal music and left behind his involvement in any other activities.

Kim Hojoong's exceptional talent shone when he won first place at the Sejong Music Competition in 2008 and secured another first place at the nationwide Su-ri Music Competition. His fame grew further when a video of his performance, shared by Teacher Seo Soo-yong on the internet, garnered attention. In 2009, he appeared on the SBS variety show "Star King" as the "High School Pavarotti," creating a buzz. In recognition of his talents, Kim Hojoong was awarded the 2009 Korean Talent Award.

His remarkable story reached international shores when a contact from Germany, impressed by his "Star King" appearance, led him to pursue further studies in Germany. After studying in Germany, he actively pursued a career as an opera singer and even graced the stage at the Ulsan Citizen Dialogue Music Festival, an annual event held in Ulsan.

Kim Hojoong's life journey was adapted into the film "Paparoti," with actor Lee Je-hoon portraying him and actor Han Suk-kyu taking on the role of Teacher Seo Soo-yong, receiving significant attention and acclaim.

Following his high school graduation, Kim Hojoong continued his music career, releasing an album in 2013. After spending about two years studying abroad, he returned to Korea, driven by his desire to pursue music closer to the public. While contemplating his path in music, he encountered "Mr. Trot" and decided to audition in 2019, where he received immense love and support.
