전설의 고향은 1977년부터 1989년까지 방영된 KBS 2TV의 고전 호러 드라마 시리즈로, 한국 최초의 시즌제 스릴러 드라마로서 많은 사랑을 받았습니다. 이 드라마는 전국 각 지역에서 내려오는 전설과 이야기를 드라마화하여 소재로 삼았으며, 귀신이나 요괴가 나오는 호러 드라마 시리즈로 잘못 인식되기도 했습니다. 그러나 실제로는 귀신이 등장하지 않는 에피소드도 있었고, 근본적으로는 장르에 구애받지 않는 시대극이나 설화를 소재로 한 사극이었습니다.

It aired under the title "Youmore 1 番 Ground" at first, but was later changed to "Yoomer 1" due to a change in Hangul notation.
