Yoon Soo-il, who played a significant role in South Korean popular music, is a singer-songwriter born on February 6, 1955, in Ulsan and raised there. He currently resides in Busan. He debuted as a rock music singer in 1974 as a member of the underground band Golden Grapes. In 1977, he participated in the "Korean Group Sound Competition," which led to his debut as Yoon Soo-il and Som Satang, releasing their first full-length album.
